Fellowship, The Sustainability Policy Partner Network and the US Partnership for Education for Sustainable Development (Various Locations)

We are kicking off a national campaign directed at two-dozen Chamber members that are on the S&P 500 and highly brand-sensitive. They have strong sustainability commitments on paper, but are not supporting climate policies. Do something impactful for the climate during these challenging times! We have both student and part-time professional Fellows remote positions open. These positions are unpaid but have many non-monetary rewards.

Volunteer, New Entry Sustainable Farming Project (Greater Boston, MA)

Consider volunteering with New Entry! They strive to build relationships with their volunteers so that all may learn from one another. Their dedicated volunteers are vital to the success of their programs and their work transforming the food system, in New England and beyond.

Here are some ways you can get involved:

  • Become a Share Packer at the Food Hub-generally Monday and Wednesday afternoons June-October
  • Become a Farm Volunteer– help with planting, weeding, harvesting, and other miscellaneous field tasks! Flexible timing- Monday through Thursday, May- October
  • Become a License Plate Advocate– year-round, can easily accomodate varying schedules
  • Join them or bring your group for an on-the-farm project-we welcome school and professional groups March-November
  • Other ideas– what do you bring to the table? How would you like to get involved? Let them know!

They welcome all people who want to learn more about the food system to join them in volunteer roles. They are excited to work with you as we all become more knowledgeable and engaged in our local food system.

GIS Application Support Analyst, Hancock Natural Resources Group (Boston, MA)

The GIS Application Support Analyst is an integral part of the IT Department’s Application Development Team and is expected to gain familiarity with systems at various stages of the development lifecycle. The Application Development team uses a Scrum development framework to deliver new software and capabilities while supporting continuous improvement efforts.

Systems and applications being developed leverage the Esri GIS platform and accompanying systems to streamline resource management and operational planning. The candidate will ensure continuity of service to all HNRG business units in the form of systems support in a rapidly evolving technology and business transformation environment.

Boston University is embarking on a bold initiative to bring together over 100 faculty in nearly all of its 17 Schools and Colleges to enhance BU’s ability to contribute pioneering research and leadership at the intersection of energy and the environment — one of the greatest interdisciplinary challenges of our time.

Analyst in Environmental Policy, U.S. Library of Congress (Washington, D.C.)

The analyst will conduct analyses that inform congressional deliberations on environmental policy and/or science issues related to climate change.  This includes the ability to utilize analytical methods and techniques to analyze policy issues for the U.S. Congress.

The analyst will cover environmental policy and/or science issues related to climate change.  This includes knowledge of the history, trends, and current status of climate policy, federal programs, and interrelationships with other key disciplines, such as physical sciences, international relations, economics and/or policy decision making and demonstrated ability to develop expertise in new areas.
