The World Resources Institute (WRI) seeks a Communications Coordinator to support WRI’s Water Program’s mission by developing and implementing communications strategies, and supporting multiple communications channels, such as blogging, media relations, web presence, and events. The Communications Coordinator will work closely with the Water program team to communicate the Water Program’s powerful data, tools and analysis. The position will report to the Water Program’s Global Director, and work closely with WRI’s Communications team.

Sustainability Coordinator, Seattle College District, (Seattle, WA)

This is a full-time, exempt, ongoing opportunity in support of the Seattle College District’s sustainability efforts. The position reports to the Vice Chancellor of Finance and Technology and will serve as lead coordinator for the implementation of a district-wide sustainability plan and continual resource conservation strategies. The coordinator will assist and coordinate efforts across the Seattle Colleges, working with campus sustainability committees, staff, faculty, administrators, and students, to advance the overall sustainability of the District.

Essential Functions:

  • Serve as the primary institutional contact for sustainability matters.
  • Work with the District Sustainability Committee to coordinate the implementation of a district-wide sustainability plan that includes identification of current efforts, gaps that need to be addressed, and a plan of action and timeline for improving sustainability practices.
  • Research and identify sustainability strategies, and associated costs and benefits, used by other colleges and universities to improve sustainability at the Seattle Colleges.
  • Conduct STARS sustainability assessments for all three colleges, building on past STARS sustainability submissions.
  • Develop and manage a database of utility data for reporting energy benchmarking, greenhouse gas reporting, LEED building reporting, and other official reports for the District.

Seattle University has an exciting, dynamic opportunity for a Grant Officer to join our community.

This position supports the Center of Excellence in Environmental Justice and Sustainability (CEJS) and the Office of Research Services and Sponsored Projects (ORSSP).

Reporting to both Director of CEJS and Director of Research, the Grant Officer provides grant prospecting, grant writing, and pre-award services.

This position collaborates with the ORSSP team and relevant divisions in the University.

This limited term appointment will be an approximate two-year term of service through June 30, 2017, with contingent potential for extension or renewal.
