Upcoming RECOVER CPR BLS & ALS Rescuer Certification Workshops

RECOVER Initiative Logo

Many of you have reached out to me over the past semester requesting I hold more RECOVER BLS & ALS Rescuer certification workshops.  Your patience has paid off!

Upcoming Workshops

I have scheduled the following events, to be held in the Joseph Kelley, D.V.M. Simulation Laboratory. All are open to students, staff, house officers, and faculty.

PLEASE NOTE: Even if you intend to complete both workshops on the same day, you must register for each separate workshop (BLS, and ALS, respectively).

Depending on the response to these workshops, I may conduct additional workshops over the summer.  Either way, I plan to offer at least one or two workshops per semester going forward. You can also find these registration links on the Cummings School events calendar, as well as on the Kelley Simulation Laboratory events web page.

Cost

RECOVER Initiative has recently changed their administrative fee policy, so I am no longer able to offer certification for free for everyone. I am not adding an instructor fee to these workshops, so these are still the lowest prices you’ll find anywhere for these certifications (they often cost several hundred dollars if you get them at a major conference!). The new fee structure is as follows:

  • Staff, House Officers, and Faculty:
    • $15 for BLS or ALS only
    • $20 for BOTH BLS & ALS on the same day
  • Students:
    • No cost ($0) if currently enrolled in an academic program at Cummings School

Fees will be collected at the beginning of the workshops. Acceptable forms of payment are cash (please bring exact change), check, or Venmo.  Receipts will be provided so you can submit for reimbursement if you have available CE or discretionary funds.

If you have questions about these workshops, your eligibility to participate, or anything else, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I hope to see many of you there!
