Peer Clinical Education

The Peer Clinical Education (PCE) program has been designed for students, by students, as an opportunity to get more guided hands-on practice outside of the Clinical Skills course. Each week, student PCE’s will be holding drop-in hours in the Clinical Skills and Simulation Laboratories, where anyone and everyone is encouraged to come by and practice their skills!

Meet Your 2024-2025 Academic Year PCEs

Juliana Nader Warrall

Smiling woman holding an opossum, with longt hair and a casual expression.

Hey! I’m Juliana and I’m so excited to help you all with clinical skills this year! I am a v26 who graduated from Emmanuel College in 2020 with a degree in Neuroscience and Biology. I have 4 years of small animal technician experience in both oncology and general practice. I love all things “small animal” – from neurological disease, to diagnostic imaging, to surgery! General practice is the place for me! I hope to work in a local small animal hospital after graduation. Eventually I want to take the reins and open my own clinic! When I’m not on campus you can find me out on a hiking path, putting in work on the Krav Maga mat, or at home tending to my pets + plants. I am happy to help you with any and all questions, clinical skills related or not. Welcome to (or back to) campus!

Izzy Eisendrath

Hi my name is Izzy and I’m from the Maryland/DC area but I went to undergrad up here in Mass. I’m a V26 interested in wildlife medicine/pathology, small animal med, and equine med. While my interests are primarily in wildlife (hence the crazed picture of me holding a taxidermy opossum), I grew up riding horses and really love working with them as well as teaching others how to work with them. I’m excited to meet your class and hopefully to help some of you feel a little more comfortable around horses if you’re not already!

Eri Yoshida

Smiling woman with dark hair, standing with a large owl

Hi everyone, my name is Eri and I am a non-traditional student.  I have been working with small animals as a Certified Veterinary Technician for the last twenty years in both general practice and ER.  Since starting vet school I am also a student technician in the large animal hospital, and have found that I love working with horses and goats as well.  I would love to continue to work with both small and large animals after graduation.  I am looking forward to being a clinical skills TA this year!

Kirsten Krause

Smiling woman with brown hair, standing outdoors with a cow and greenery in the background.

Hi all! My name is Kirsten, and I’m super excited to be a returning PCE this year! I’m originally from Coventry, Connecticut and before coming to vet school, I completed both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in animal science at the University of Connecticut. I grew up on a goat farm and showed mainly goats and dairy cows in 4-H, so needless to say ruminants are my first love and favorite species to work with! Around campus I’m involved in the Student Livestock Organization as a mentor, Tufts AAEP as a member, SAVMA as the vice president, the Large Animal Technician Team as a medicine technician, and am the senior student representative for the AASRP! After graduation I hope to enter large animal ambulatory practice in a rural area of New England, so safe to say large animals are my jam and I’m so excited to help you all learn to love them this year too!

Mary Stewart

My name is Mary, and I am from Dallas, TX. I graduated from Washington and Lee University in 2021 with a degree in biochemistry and theatre. My passion is for dogs and cats, and I hope to work in a small animal general practice after I graduate. Outside of veterinary school, I enjoy anything outdoors – hiking, skiing, fishing – as well as reading, exercising (specifically kickboxing), and exploring local breweries. I’m very excited to be a teaching assistant for Clinical Skills

Delia Wolfe

Delia came to Tufts to pursue a passion in orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, and she has much interest in small animal and exotic animal medicine! She worked for several years as a registered veterinary technician in North Carolina. She is always excited to learn new techniques and procedures, and she enjoys helping colleagues to do the same. She firmly believes that there are no such things as silly questions, and that learning is the greatest adventure! Fun fact: the sweet dog in this picture with her is Little Joe Cartwright, one of her beloved fur babies!

Emily Sharp

Hi, I’m Emily! I’ll be one of your Bovine/OCPM TAs this year. Describing my veterinary interests is hard, because they’re a bit all over the place– I came into school with wildlife/zoo experience, I work at a small animal GP, and I’m assisting with large animal sections of this class… I guess I like a bit of everything! Some of my extracurricular interests include live music, crafting, and accumulating nature-themed tattoos. I also have a couple of cats, named Spaghetti and Rigatoni, and I am completely obsessed with them. I’m so excited to get to go through these labs with you guys! 🙂

Anna Huddart

Hi everyone! I’m Anna and I’m from Avon, Connecticut. I went to Tufts for undergrad and I majored in biology and minored in Spanish. I’m interested mostly in wildlife, zoo medicine, and conservation but I’m still open to other possibilities (honestly everything is super interesting to me so I’m still very unsure what I want to do). I am also part of the International veterinary medicine program and spent the summer doing research in Uganda with Kibale Chimpanzee Project. In my free time I love to read, bake, and I’m a huge foodie. I can’t wait to meet you all and please feel free to contact me with any questions.

Massle Thach

Hello there! My name is Massle Thach, and I am extremely excited to be one of your TAs this year! I grew up in southern NH and majored in Biomedical Sciences at UNH. During my time in undergrad, I worked with cows and sheep and fell in love with working with large animals. My love for One Health and large animals has been a driving force, leading me to broaden my horizons and pursue a dual DVM/MPH degree at Tufts. Don’t worry, I still love working with small animals and have 2 cats named Turkey and Truffle to keep me busy. In my free time, I love to binge watch tv shows/movies, try out new TikTok recipes, and gardening. Please feel free to reach out with any questions!

Isabella “Izzy” Swift

Hi everyone! My name is Izzy Swift (she/her), and I’m a V26 originally from Miami, FL. I’m currently interested in exotics and small animal medicine, but every month I have a new interest so we’ll see where I end up! Outside of school, I’m a huge foodie and make it my mission to try as many new places as I can. So if you ever need to know where to find the best bagels or seafood around, you know who to call :). I also love reading, binge watching new Netflix shows, and anything musical theater. Don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions, and I hope you all are hyped for clin skills!

Noah Dwyer

Hey everyone! I’m Noah, a V’26 originally from Hampton, NH, and I’m excited to be one of your clinical skills PCEs this year! I did my undergrad at Northeastern University in Boston, where I double majored in Biology and English. I’m primarily interested in small animal medicine, with a special interest in medical oncology. In my free time, I enjoy baking, reading, and watching movies. I’m looking forward to getting to work with all of you this year!
