Dr. Bruce Chase, DVM

I am a Rhode Island native who was able to attend Purdue University for undergraduate and Veterinary studies graduating in 1976. The first two years of my career I practiced in Worcester County in a mixed practice which included small animal, dairy and equine.

After developing an allergy to cattle hair and dander by the second year I was able to move to southeastern Massachusetts and started my own ambulatory equine practice in 1978. in. In 1995 I was able to open a primary care small animal practice in Middleboro and managed to have a small animal – equine primary care practice for the next twenty three years.  I retired in 2018 and have been active in a variety of activities including serving on the MVMA executive board.

Throughout my career I have been an advocate for primary care practitioners as well as practitioners in a mixed animal practice. I have been an active member of the AAEP having served on several committees as well as four years on the Board of Directors. As a member of the veterinary profession I feel I have been blessed to have experienced a wonderful career and a nearly infinite number of rewarding life experiences. I also realize there are several significant challenges facing the veterinary profession and hope to assist in dealing with these issues.
