Visual Field Testing: Glaucoma

3 million Americans have glaucoma – the leading cause of irreversible blindness. Left untreated, you will lose vision 10 times faster than the average person. The most common solution used to detect glaucoma operates like a video game, patients click a button every time they see a light pop up on the screen. This patient input leads to error and variability in test results.

We are moving away from button pressing to eye tracking. Instead we will detect if patients have seen the pop up by tracking their eye. We are developing an accurate and accessible headset that can aid in the diagnosis and monitoring of glaucoma. Our system eliminates several layers of bias and gives medical professionals higher quality data to make more informed decisions about their patients. Earlier detection reduces the progression of glaucoma by 50%.

No one should have to compromise their medical care, especially when it comes to their sight.
