Organic Farm/Alpacas Internships

by Sara Gomez Garcia on October 13, 2015

White Violet Center for Eco-Justice at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, Indiana, a ministry of the Sisters of Providence, offers 3-, 6- and 12-month internships in the areas of organic gardening and fiber animal care (alpacas). These are full time, hands-on, working internship opportunities.

WVC’s 7-acre USDA certified organic garden provides for a 100 share summer Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) and 30 share fall CSA, participation in the local farmers’ market and for the Sisters of Providence food service.

There are 35 alpacas that provide luxurious fiber for an award winning fiber program. Our handmade alpaca items, such as scarves, hats, gloves, holiday ornaments and nativity scenes are sold in the Sisters of Providence store, Linden Leaf Gifts.

Focus on one area (gardening or alpacas) or experience both.

Transform yourself… Transform the world.
