GSC Kick-Off Picnic Recap

The Sackler Graduate Student Council kicked off the new academic year with a picnic and club fair held in the Jaharis Cafe and Courtyard. On the heels of the Sackler Orientation Reception, this GSC event provided another opportunity for current students to catch up after a hot summer and new students to get to know each other as well as other members of their new community. Over sandwiches, students chatted with one another and browsed the tables advertising student clubs and Sackler-related organizations, including:

    • Boston OneHealth
    • Hirsch Health Sciences Library
    • Insight Newsletter
    • Tufts Advisory Partners
    • Tufts Biomedical Business Club
    • Tufts Biomedical Queer Alliance
    • Tufts Mentoring Circles
    • Tufts Running Club

At the picnic were also GSC t-shirts for sale, which features the GSC elephant logo (designed by Frankie Velazquez), to generate some school spirit!

If you missed out on this event, be sure to join your friends and colleagues at the Sackler GSC Happy Hour hosted at Fajitas and ‘Ritas (25 West St) on Thursday Sept. 15th from 5:30-7:30 pm for snacks (first come, first serve!), drinks, and a good time!
