Mission Statement

Our official aim

The Tufts Association of South Asians (TASA) is an organization dedicated to the celebration of South Asian cultures and peoples. Open to all Tufts students, the group organizes events to celebrate South Asian holidays and culture, and works to promote discussion on issues that affect the sub-continent. Through its events and meetings, TASA provides a platform to help its members explore their heritage, raise awareness on campus, and foster an appreciation for this multifaceted region of the world.

We do our best to program events to this end and to incorporate people from all cultures in them. Our aim for South Asians is to help them keep in touch with their culture and heritage. For non South Asians, our primary goal is to help them
