About

Tufts Ewo

Welcome to Tufts Women’s Ultimate! The Ewo (Elephant Women) are a nationally competitive college women’s ultimate frisbee team. We are a club sport at Tufts University, and have THREE great teams- the Ewo, Bwo, and Cwo. The Ewo have competed in high level tournaments such as Southerns (2012, 1st place), Keystone Classic, Stanford Invite, Women’s College Centex (2013, 3rd place), and have made nationals for 3 years in a row, coming in 3rd in 2012 and 5th in 2013. The Bwo and Cwo also compete at a serious level, with the Bwo earning a spot at DI regionals in 2012 and 2013. While maintaining a solid practice and workout routine year round, all teams are committed to the spirit of the game and having a good time!

Our true season is the spring, but in the fall our A and B teams practice together informally twice a week. We work on basic skills and strategy, and have a great time getting to know new players and teammates. Anyone is welcome to join, and no previous experience is required! After the fall, we split into A and B teams. In the winter, we work diligently on our conditioning and skills while in Gantcher, our indoor practice space. Our hard work pays off in the spring, when we get to go outside to practice and play in tournaments.
