Fall semester is coming up. Wind Ensemble is gonna come out of the gate swinging this year with a power-packed lineup of all-stars and the fire in our bellies to take the league by storm. This year we are going all. the. way. GET PUMPED FOR SOME TUWE!!!!!!!! ARE YOU READY?!?!

I am a junior in high school and i play both guitar and clarinet in my high school and I am pretty proficient in both of them. I am very good at Jazz Guitar and symphonic band clarinet. I want to play these instruments in college ensembles including Jazz Band, Wind Ensemble, Pep Band and Marching Band. If i contact the directors and give good recording in my applications will my chances for college increase? Could I be recruited to play in these ensembles?

I can’t guarantee that sending an audition tape will help, but it certainly won’t hurt. None of the colleges you listed recruit for their music groups (as far as I know), but you should definitely send in tapes and talk to directors. Show that you are interested and put yourself out there!
