What does it mean to be the climate bank of Asia and the Pacific?
The Asian Development Bank prides itself on being a trusted partner to developing member countries seeking transformational change. This mission matters even more on the brink of a global climate emergency, as DMCs struggle to achieve economy-wide climate transition. In a world where all development must take place in the context of climate change, ADB stands at the threshold of a vitally important challenge: to create the new blueprint for the future of climate resilient development.
During this program, you will collaborate with colleagues to:
- Understand climate change implications for Asia and the Pacific and the role of development institutions in tackling the climate crisis.
- Generate a collective vision of success for ADB as the climate bank of Asia and the Pacific and identify ADB’s key priorities for achieving this vision.
- Build an understanding of current best practices in creating resilient, low carbon economies at scale, including effective approaches for government strategy, private sector mobilization, and just transition.
