Hilary D. Price
Hilary Price is the Assistant Dean for Professional Education at the Fletcher School at Tufts University. In addition to directing the Office of Executive Education, she also oversees the Global Master of Arts Program (GMAP). She has more than decade of experience in strategic planning and corporate development and has worked with diverse stakeholders, including academic institutions, non-profits, government, and non-governmental organizations. Prior to joining Fletcher, Dr. Price was the chief advancement officer and associate to the Dean of the John Glenn College of Public Affairs at The Ohio State University (OSU). While at OSU, she also served as the senior director of corporate and foundation partnerships for the College of Food, Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. Dr. Price has worked at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington, DC, managing strategic partnerships and performing national security analysis as an International Security Program fellow. She was also the executive director of public programs at the Chicago Council on Global Affairs. Early in her career, Dr. Price served as coordinator for the Preventive Defense Project, a joint research venture between Harvard University and Stanford University focusing on U.S. defense policy. She began her career with the National Democratic Institute in Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Jenny Strakovsky
Jenny Strakovsky is Associate Director of Program Design and Curriculum for The Fletcher School Office of Executive Education at Tufts University. She holds a Ph.D. in German Studies from Stanford University and has 10 years of experience teaching communication, cross-cultural leadership, and career development. She served as a Fulbright Research Fellow at the Humboldt University in Berlin, Germany, after receiving her Bachelor’s degree at Dartmouth College. Prior to joining The Fletcher School, Dr. Strakovsky served as faculty and Associate Director of Graduate Studies and Career Education at the School of Modern Languages at Georgia Institute of Technology, where she created Georgia Tech’s first graduate degrees in cross-cultural studies — masters of science in global media and applied intercultural studies — and launched the Global Career Design Lab, an office for interdisciplinary career coaching, serving students in STEM, business, and communications to prepare for global careers. She taught courses on German current affairs, design-based career planning, and community engagement. Her research expertise is in the cultural history of human flourishing and its applications for leadership education and career coaching. She is co-editor of Making Graduate Education Work: Imagining a Thriving Future for the Humanities, a collection of essays forthcoming with the Modern Language Association in 2023, and co-editor of Pursuing Meaningful Work: A Strategies Guide for Ph.Ds and Postdocs, Stanford University’s graduate career education manual.

Mieke van der Wansem
Mieke van der Wansem is the Director of Programs at the Center for International Environment and Resource Policy (CIERP) and Climate Policy Lab (CPL) at The Fletcher School, Tufts University. Mieke contributes to strategic thinking and manages CPL’s program portfolio. Mieke designs, develops, and implements various executive education programs, including CPL’s Climate Policy Summer Academies and visiting scholars programs. Mieke has more than thirty years experience as organizational and program leader and manager, trainer, and researcher on environmental and natural resource policy issues around the globe. Mieke designs and delivers executive education programs focused on negotiation for sustainable development, tailored to professional practitioners in the field. The goal of these programs is to facilitate professionals from many different sectors, and particularly from developing countries, to be better able to achieve sustainable development goals through effective stakeholder engagement and negotiation. Mieke has authored many multi-stakeholder negotiation simulations on natural resource and development conflict topics, some of which are for sale at the Harvard Program on Negotiations teaching materials and publications website. Mieke has a MALD from The Fletcher School at Tufts University and a B.S from Boston University.

Maria Ireland Creamer
Maria Ireland Creamer is the Program Manager for Fletcher Executive Education. She holds a B.A. in International Studies from Boston College and an Ed.M. in Education Leadership, Organizations, and Entrepreneurship from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Maria is an experienced program manager who has led strategic change initiatives and managed program development and delivery for nonprofit organizations and higher education institutions in the United States, Middle East, and Europe. Before joining the Executive Education team, she worked on Fletcher’s mid-career Global Master of Arts Program (GMAP); organized faculty-led study abroad programs with the international education nonprofit CIEE; taught English in Sicily through the Fulbright Program; and coordinated professional learning programs and fellowships out of the Jerusalem office of the global nonprofit Seeds of Peace.

Marisa Doherty
Marisa is Administrative Assistant for the Office of Professional Education and Assistant Dean, Hilary Price. She works closely with both the Executive Education Team and the Global Master of Arts Program Team. Marisa was formerly Executive Assistant for the Office of the Dean and has been with The Fletcher School for over nine years.

Tarun Gopalakrishnan
Tarun Gopalakrishnan is a Doctoral Research Fellow at Center for International Environment and Resource Policy (CIERP) and Climate Policy Lab (CPL) at The Fletcher School, Tufts University. His doctoral research examines best practices for financing adaptation to climate change in the public and private sector, including at multilateral development institutions. He has also contributed to studies on climate policy in India and framework climate legislation. Prior to Fletcher, Tarun was the Deputy Program Manager for the Center for Science and the Environment, New Delhi. Previously, he has served in the legal affairs division of the World Trade Organization and as a research associate at The Energy and Resources Institute.

Himani Bhatt
Himani Bhatt is a second-year MALD Candidate focusing on the intersection of climate and innovation for sustainable development. A lawyer by qualification, she is from New Delhi where she worked as a political consultant before joining Fletcher.
