B.A., Child and Adolescent Development, California State University, Northridge, 2020

Expertise: adolescent development, social determinants of health, child psychopathology, quantitative methods

Research Interest: Rosalia is interested in the impact social determinants of health have on the development of child psychopathology of historically marginalized youth. More specifically, she is interested in how various adverse life experiences exacerbate the risk of anxiety and depression. She plans to use evidence-based research to develop and implement substantial policies. Rosalia hopes to engage in research that will understand how a variety of factors such as socioeconomic status, environmental, social, and education play a role in a child’s development that can inform interventions to give parents the necessary tools to promote their child’s well-being. In the C3 lab, Rosalia works on the Housing and Children’s Health Development project.
