Novel Engineering Conference in St. Louis!
Novel Engineering is a project based out of Tufts Center for Engineering Education and Outreach (CEEO) that uses classroom literature – stories, novels, and expository texts – as the basis for engineering design challenges that help them identify problems, design realistic solutions, and engage in the Engineering Design Process while reinforcing their literacy skills.
The Novel Engineering Conference will have two tracks: one for those that are new to Novel Engineering and another for those who have attended a Novel Engineering workshop in the past.
The Novel Engineering Conference will be a mix of presentations and workshops with an emphasis on hands-on projects. Workshops topics include an introduction to Novel Engineering, supporting productive engineering design in young students, and introducing engineering in elementary school.
