Gloria Grandolini
Former Senior Director, FMGP, World Bank Group

Gloria M. Grandolini was Senior Director, Finance and Markets Global Practice (FMGP) of the World Bank Group, between July 1, 2014 and January 31, 2017. She is a member of the WEF Global Future Council on The Future of Financial and Monetary Systems.

She was responsible for delivering tailored development solutions integrating World Bank Group financial, knowledge/advisory, and convening services to country clients and the global community. The FMGP delivers comprehensive World Bank Group solutions, including World Bank loans/credits, guarantees, and risk-management products and WB and IFC knowledge, advisory, and convening services to public sector clients.

Prior to that, she was Country Director for Mexico and Colombia. Since joining the World Bank in 1990, she has held various positions, including Director of the Banking and Debt Management Department in the World Bank Treasury and Senior Advisor to the Executive Director representing Italy, Portugal, Albania, Greece, Malta, and San Marino in the Board of the World Bank Group.

Gloria M. Grandolini, an Italian and Honduran national, has a Ph.D. in international economics and a Master’s in law and diplomacy from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, at Tufts University. She also holds a Master’s degree in foreign service from the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service of Georgetown University.
