Casting on an Oculus Quest 2

Casting is a very important and useful feature of the oculus. Teachers can use it to keep tabs on students who are using the oculus and ensure that they are staying on task. It can also be used to demonstrate designs and techniques to a whole class. Luckily, casting on an oculus is incredibly easy:

1. On the computer you want to cast to, go to oculus.com/casting and login with your account

2. Put your headset on and click the oculus button on your controller (when in gravity sketch, the oculus button will look like the exit button). This will open the universal menu

3. Click the pink arrow button, second from left. This will open the sharing menu

4. Select casting (top left button) and then select computer.

Note: if you don’t see your computer connected, make sure that your oculus and laptop are connected to the same Wi-Fi network

5. Select done and everything you do on your oculus will be mirrored on your computer
