Bite Adjustment

Definition

Making small changes to the shape of your tooth to improve how your top and bottom teeth come together

A bite adjustment is most commonly done after a filling is placed to make sure your teeth come together properly.

What is the treatment for a bite adjustment?

The dentist places a piece of paper that marks the high spots with more pressure on the teeth when the patient bites down. These spots are adjusted using a bur and handpiece.
