What is a mucogingival defect?

Low position of the soft tissue exposing parts of the tooth that are not typically exposed like the root.

What causes a mucogingival defect?

Brushing roughly, born with it or abnormal tooth position.

Symptoms of a mucogingivial defect

Sensitivity and cavities in that specific area of exposing tooth.

Treatment of a mucogingival defect

Brushing gently and in some cases gum surgery is needed to fix the exposed area.
