M.S., Ph.D. Chemistry, São Paulo State University (UNESP), 2013-2019
Postdoctoral Associate, São Paulo University (USP), 2019-2021
Davi began his scientific career as an undergraduate student at São Paulo State University (UNESP) working in the Physical-Chemical Materials Group, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Celso Valentim Santilli, and co-supervision of Prof. Dr. Leandro Martins, in which he developed the project “Preparation and characterization of porous alumina hierarchically ordered from liquid crystal templates and emulsions” 2009-2012. He then continued his academic career, joining the master and doctorate at UNESP, at the Research Group on Catalysis (GPCat), under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Leandro Martins, in which he developed two main projects: “Control of porosity and acid-base characteristics of mixed oxides derived from hydrotalcite for application in catalysis” (2013-2015) and “Synthesis of catalysts with structured pores derived from hydrotalcite by combined use of chemical sol-gel, surfactants and emulsion” (2015-2019). Davi then proceeded with his postdoctoral research at São Paulo University (USP), under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Elisabete Moreira Assaf, where he developed the project, “Oxidative Coupling of Methane using A2B2O7 catalysts” (2019-2021)
Davi is currently researching methods to convert waste gases to fuels and chemicals with well-ordered mixed oxide catalysts.
Outside of research, Davi likes to invest in the stock market, work out at the gym, and watch soccer.
