B.S. Chemical Engineering, University of California—San Diego, 2025

Danica is originally from the Bay Area, California and received her B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, San Diego. She interned at Shape Memory Medical as a General Engineering Intern where she designed and tested new parts and cleaning and assembly methods for the Impede Embolization Plug, an implant used to treat aneurysms. She also interned at Eat JUST as an Analytical Chemistry Intern, where her work led to a protein being named after her.  

Danica is currently worked on the catalytic conversion of chitin.

For fun, Danica likes to travel, work out, thrift, and spend time with her cat.
