The RaveBot 9000

The RaveBot 9000

I made this project because I noticed a bunch of my friends were saddened because they didn’t get to have a school dance so I decided to make a party robot so even if their in quarantine they can still have fun.

I used only one servo, both motors, and the button sensor. I programmed it so when the button is pressed it plays the song then enters a while loop with many other if else stamens inside all taking in user input and determining if the song should stop or the robot should dance.I went through a lot of draft code and improved upon one aspect of it each time resulting in the final code that I used for the completed project.

  • How thoughtful it was to make a robot to cheer up your friends. I need one of these!

    • Video pad video editor and a lot of sleepless nights doing video homework

  • It was a really great and nicely decorated robot with a very funny video. 10/10

  • Didn’t think I would laugh at one of these videos. The robot seems well made, well programmed, and well advertised. Bravo!

    • So first I took out the code from the juypter notebook called gopigotest. I specifically took the section on testing the audio. I then went to YouTube to look up a python music player (https://youtu.be/uziilzjhf_g) then I imported pygame I then combined both codes so that when the button was pressed it used the command load file from pygame and then spoke the mp3 file that I had placed in the juypter notebook. also I noticed this yesterday but one of the juypter notebooks we were given had an extra challenge section on playing music I’m not sure if that works but it’s still an extra resource.

  • Great use of the glow sticks with the lights and all of the movement

  • This is hilarious. I would definitely want to buy this after watching.

  • Amazing advertisement. The glowsticks and the colors look great.

  • I’m sold on this. I need some rave in my life right now.

    • this is really really cool and I love the video!!

  • The presentation is amazing– like so so good!! I liked that you showed different examples of it and how it evolved. This robot is really cool, especially during quarantine. I love the decoration you used too.

  • The glow sticks with the dancing made this really cool
