Basketball Robot
Basketball Robot
The robot dribbles past the opposing team and scores in a hoop.
Kushal
The robot begins its journey with its arm down. Using a distance sensor, it is able to detect the cups(opposing team) and dodge. When moving towards the hoop, it checks for a blue mark on the floor using a color sensor. Once it detects the line, it lifts its arm and shoots the ball into the hoop.
Very nice! Great video too!
wow, I really like the shooting mechanism you built!
I like how you had the robot move around the objects quickly before having it launch the ball into the hoop
The arm was really cool! How did you get the servo to shoot the ball with so much force/ so quickly?
Hey Kushal, I’m really impressed by the speed your bot was able to move at while maintaining so much accuracy with every turn, nice work!
I loved how quickly the robot navigated the cups!
Very good with the ball, it could compete in a robotic sports competition
It’s really good at dodging past ‘defenders’. It’s a cool project.
That was very cool! I liked it a lot and how the robot shot the ball
Impressive implementation! What was the hardest part? What would you change if you had more time?
Very cool robot, the obstacle avoidance looks super cool!
Really great dodging there! Did those players have to be in a specific orientation for it to dodge that fast and make it to the basket? If so, is there a way to make it move in a general direction and dodge if necessary to reach the basket (maybe a log of how the motors have moved or a gyrosensor could be really interesting tools to tell the robot its current location vs. where the basket should be) ?
The presentation is very well done, as well as the incorporation of different sensors and servos. Super cool, and nicely done!
Interesting shooter mechanism
It’s interesting to see a different approach to the same topic that i did
really cool. nice mechanism.
Great design for the shooting mechanism
The shooting mechanism is really cool
Would make an interesting sport, robotic basketball.
Nice mechanism and excellent shot! I would buy this for my kids to set up different obstacles and watch the robot try different paths to make the shot.
