The robot can be placed in a location (preferably close to a door). Then the user can press the button allowing the robot to get an initial distance reading. Then as someone crosses the distance sensor, the robot will spin in circles and light up.
Very specific security for your house! Maybe it could be used covertly to secure doors
I hadn’t thought of security. That is a good idea.
nice, sounds like a good way to prank someone
Very interesting idea, I can see how this can be used.
The idea of using a distance center as a motion sensor interests me, on top of the already interesting robot. Hadn’t thought of using a distance center like that.
It’s really cool in that it can easily be done anywhere and I would like to try using one
Great idea, looks like it can be used anywhere that it can read a distance
Seems like a better alternative to the sensors drilled into the walls. A group of these could patrol your house.
I like that idea
Really awesome how it spins to scan!
I really like your plan to use the speaker!
Super cool!! Could definitely make a great home security system. It’s a great, different way to use the distance sensor.
Great application of the distance sensor – this would be great for security! I like that you’re thinking of how you would want to expand on this project and I hope you pursue some of your ideas outside of EDL!
Thanks! I plan on doing so.
This would be a great haunted house exhibit robot! I like the idea of it sharing messages with people.
