Stoplight Robot
Stoplight Robot
A robot that stops at the lights.

The stoplight robot uses the camera to look at the stoplight in front of it and act accordingly. It changes the photo to know what color the stoplight is. Go on green, slow on yellow, and stop on red. I made the stoplight robot because I really liked modifying pictures the robot took and finding circles within those photos.
Technology that could be used in self driving cars. Keep up the good work!
Thank you! Part of why I did this is because I like cars and thought this could be a cool way to implement some of the stuff we learned.
Great work – I really like how you took the “find the circle” example to the next level. 🙂
I love your use of proportional control and finding the circle!!
very practical application of our notebook exercises, super cool!
It was really good at recognizing the circles! Nice job
Great use of proportional control!
very cool. lots of real world applications for technology like that.
Very cool its a mini self-driving car
Great idea of combining the proportional control and recognizing the circles
on the way to a self driving car
Good idea
Great combo of a bunch of different ideas- finding the circle, color sorting, proportional control- for a practical application. Awesome!
Thanks! I enjoyed working on this because circle finding, color sorting, and proportional control were some of my favorite topics we covered.
I’m really glad you challenged yourself to use different image processing techniques, and explored a bit of what the camera can do! I know it was difficult to get those colors down, and I think a really nice improvement would be incorporating machine learning to teach your robot to recognize the colors you show it. You’ve really shown how much you’ve learned, great job!
This was a really great project idea and has the potential to be an autonomous vehicle that follows road rules too. I loved the work that you did with image processing.
