Easy Plate
Easy Plate
A plate that helps people eat without hands!
Charlotte
This device consists of a tilted plate that holds food, a moving gate, and a moving spoon. At the push of a button, the food is released onto the spoon, which is brought out and back. The Easy Plate is made of cardboard, paper, and lots of hot glue, and is built on a GoPiGo robot. The robot is currently more of a prototype, and would need lots of development and reconstruction to be used in a real meal.
That was smart to research similar products and take inspiration from it. Also, I really liked how you really took into account the conditions of your target group.
*like with the button that you mentioned*
Why not add a fork?
Forks are better at stabbing than scooping, so I’d have to figure out how to make that happen. If I do, that would make my robot a lot better, thanks for the idea!
I like the honesty that you presented in this project, being so forthcoming on what it failed on and what you want to improve on
Love the idea and the way you executed!! The design in very impressive and i love how you dismantled the robot to add your own design!
Nice idea! As Helen said, I like how you did some research before embarking on the project. I’m sure with some better hardware you’d be able to get this to work perfectly!
