Robot Timer
Robot Timer
This robot sets a timer and plays music when done.
Grace
I programmed my robot set a timer. First, the time and sound is imported. The robot asks the amount of time, and after the time is set, the timer is started. Then, once the timer hits 0 the sound is played, signifying the end of the timer.

Hi Grace, nice work! Good execution
Nice job! Seems like a especially great nap timer or cooking timer
Have you thought about any ways to expand on this idea and take it further?
Definitely! I’m going to look into expanding the music choices, as well as adding a nightlight feature that would activate for a set time and/or a flashing light at the end of the timer.
seems useful for an alarm clock
This is very useful as a timer for cooking. The timer could be improved by making it more compact, and removing the motors and sensors that aren’t being used.
I like how you combined the timer aspect with the speaker output. It added a nice touch to the robot.
Love the idea. I think this could be really useful and I love the soothing sound.
Cool project. I thought it was a very useful idea and could be cool as an alarm in the morning.
I liked the music and the whole timer idea is interesting. It’s done effectively and leaves room for improvement while still being complete.

Thanks! I’m certainly going to work on improvements and additions to the timer.
This could be a very nice timer to help someone stop procrastinating (hopefully). Once the timer is up, you can go back to being productive.
This is a really good idea. Having a timer that makes an obnoxious noise can be so annoying. Is the song that the robot produces customizable by the user?
The sound file is from a WAV module, so my next steps would be to add more song options in the form of WAV files that the user could choose from.
This robot seems like something I would use often, I like the idea of having it play music instead of a blaring alarm.
