The Hyperfocus Halter

The Hyperfocus Halter

The cutest way to interrupt your work session!

Eryn

The robot begins a countdown timer set by the user. After the time is up, the robot plays a piano riff and sends a message to the user. This is just the first prototype, and more complex systems will be added later.

  • It should physically stop you and put you to sleep if you need to.

  • This is such a wholesome bot! I like the idea and this reminds me that I spent way too much time on my own project (oops)

    • Glad to know that people understand the practical applications of the Hyperfocus Halter!

  • I love this! something about this robot seems persuasive, I think it’s because of the googly eyes and how the words were written. Were there any other design choices to make this robot seem more friendly?

    • That was the basic choice that I loved, but with more updates to the design, I’ll be sure to add more cute features!

  • Hi Eryn, nice work! I love how you’ve thought about a specific client and considered all of the directions the prototype could go in

    • Thanks! When the idea was brought up, I immediately thought of one of my best friends, who has ADHD. She’s talked about now her entire day can be wasted by hyper-fixating on getting tasks done.

  • Nice job Eryn! I like that you mentioned you’re excited to add more features to the robot later down the road.
