LEGO Collector

A robot that can collect and put away LEGOs.

For my project, I designed and built a robot that collects LEGOs and drops them off into a container. I also built a small robotic arm attachment for it so that it can pick up the LEGOs. Using a distance sensor, it turns away from walls to continue its pattern of searching for a LEGO piece. It uses a color sensor to see any changes in color compared to the floor, which allows it to see the LEGO pieces if it goes over them. After seeing a LEGO, the robot will pick it up, drive to the container, drop it off, and continue to look for more pieces to collect.
