IoT for Humans
tldr: This is a foot bound sensor that detects whether you are walking healthily. This helps people know if they need to take it easy for a while.
This project is a prototype of an Internet of Things system for measuring and detecting the onset of musculoskeletal injury. The prototype device can detect aspects of a user’s gait, and from these measurements generate some notion of the user’s health which are shown on an intuitive interface for fast consumption. In addition to showing a single user’s health related data, the interface is aimed at also serving military personnel responsible for larger teams, providing medics and squad leaders a bird’s eye view of the health of their team.
