A Medical Device to Detect Noise Sensitivity in Patients
Misophonia, also known as selective sound sensitivity syndrome, can cause acute sensitivities to certain noises. To help our sponsor conduct further research into Misophonia, our team created a prototype that measures multiple vital signs synchronized to precise audio tones. The user interacts with the system via an iPad application that connects via Bluetooth Low Energy to a Raspberry Pi 3B+ controller. A separate device collects biometric data synchronized to the audio tones, and sends the data to the central system.
