Environmental Science Teacher – Applications due May 10
The Mountain School is currently seeking an environmental teacher to join our school in rural Vermont. Each semester, forty-five students come from all over the U.S. for one semester to take academic classes on our 400-acre campus (making the teaching experience feel somewhere between teaching high school and college). Class sizes are small (usually no more than ten per section) and the teaching load is 2-3 classes per semester. Competitive salary and benefits. B.A. (with teaching experience), M.A., and Ph.D. degree holders are all encouraged to apply. Job posting attached.

Full disclosure: It’s a super white place in a super white state, but our BIPOC faculty, families, and alum are out here recruiting for some more community to help transform the culture. If you have specific questions for current BIPOC faculty about working at the school or alt-ac teaching tracks for PhD grads, please contact Karim Wissa.
