by Ann Greaney-Williams on October 2, 2013

Practically Green is growing rapidly, and we depend on competent, can-do interns so we can deliver on our mission to help people live healthier and greener lives. Our digital platform that motivates people to take smart, efficient actions in their everyday lives. Practically Green?s primary business focus is on selling, configuring, and optimizing this suite of apps for a growing customer base of major corporations and other organizations. PG interns support this effort in numerous important ways.

We believe that helping people live healthier and greener is a worthwhile cause ? and an attractive business opportunity. We have a great sales team, and happy, paying customers. We believe that bright undergraduate and grad-student interns are essential to our start-up. We work with a number of colleges and universities to provide credit for Practically Green work and view our intern program as a best-in-class training program for those who are considering a career in sustainability. These positions are unpaid, require a commitment of 20+ hours per week in the office, and position the student for full-time employment.

We currently have openings for a Sales & Marketing intern and a Social Media and Communications intern for the term that begins in January 2013. We will also accept applications for Summer 2013.

We?re looking for doers. You should have experience working on a team to accomplish projects and get results. You have the ability to write short copy, e.g. customer service emails, promotion blurbs, Facebook posts, and tweets. You should be very comfortable taking notes and producing reports, preferably with fluency in Excel and Powerpoint. You love hunting down info on the internet. You are comfortable owning a project from start to finish without being managed, and you are not shy about asking for help when direction is unclear. You believe in green, and in helping people improve their lives. You are interesting, love to work, and are fun to spend time with. You read carefully, so put pancake bunny in the subject of your email. The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, wide-ranging reading and viewing habits, keen interest in popular culture and the benefits of sustainability for businesses and enterprises of all types. High energy and a willingness and excitement to learn and pitch in is essential!
