The Gass Lab was debuted as a joint venture between the School of Medicine and Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University in September 2022. We strive to research anthropogenic, environmental, and ecological factors that influence the emergence and re-emergence of zoonotic infections in human populations. We will teach and mentor students and grow a body of evidence demonstrating prevention and mitigation techniques to protect human, animal, and environmental health to ensure a prosperous One Health future.
