Fletcher Students Place Second at Hackathon
Congratulations to Anuradha, Arpitha, Neil, and Shubha for being awarded Runners Up at the 2021 Internet Law and Policy Foundry’s Policy Hackathon. This year’s Hackathon focused on ideating solutions that promote and protect user rights in the content moderation ecosystem. The Team successfully envisaged and proposed a National Content Review Board to govern intermediary liability regimes by reviewing high-risk, high-impact cases, particularly ones that concern marginalized groups and fundamental human rights. In true Fletcher spirit, the Team also recommended sharing the Board’s working with the International Telecommunication Union, and building global jurisprudence around content moderation decisions that impact vulnerable communities online.
