Tech@Fletcher Student Leader Spotlight: Jade Collins, MALD ’22
This summer, Jade was chosen as one of two recipients of the Fletcher School Cybersecurity and Public Policy fellowship. This fellowship allowed Jade to work at the Aspen Institute, specifically at Aspen Digital – a program within the Institute that shines a light on urgent global issues across cybersecurity, the information ecosystem, and emerging technology. During her time there, she facilitated meetings with a number of industry leaders and experts in cybersecurity. Her role allowed her work on closing the cybersecurity job gap by providing cybersecurity resources to struggling nonprofits and small businesses.
At Fletcher, Jade is involved in both Hitachi Center research and Tech@Fletcher club leadership. She has had the opportunity to conduct research under Professor Gideon on the topic of algorithmic governance as well as co-lead the Tech@Fletcher group which organizes networking and academic events for the student body. Jade has found her place within the Fletcher community thanks to the Hitachi Center and its work in bringing together students with an interest in technology and furthering international dialogue in this precarious space.
