The IDEA Lab at Tufts University

Welcome to the IDEA Lab

The IDEA Lab is an adventurous research group involved in projects related to virtual reality development, machine learning, UX/UI design, human factors, industrial design, hyper-spectral imaging, and so much more.

At this lab, you will learn new skills, meet new awesome people, and make connections with industry professionals. This lab accepts people from a variety of majors, including (but not limited to) Human Factors Engineering, Engineering Psychology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Computer Science.

FOR PROSPECTIVE MEMBERS:

If you applied to the IDEA Lab for Fall 2024, you will receive your acceptance/rejection email by September 25th at midnight. If you are accepted, you will be expected to attend our first meeting on Saturday, September 28th at 11AM at SEC Anderson 206. This meeting will be from 11-12 and will be immediately followed with a welcome picnic! If you are not accepted, you are invited to reapply again in the Spring!
