Tufts Mutual Aid, or, How I Stopped Worrying and Learned that People Are Actually Amazing
Maybe the most incredible thing to come out of all this nonsense is the development of the seemingly endless ways that people are coming together to help each other, even across the vast chasm of “social distance.” The best example of this is our very own Tufts Mutual Aid, an organization that is connecting Tufts community members who have resources with people who need them: whether that’s money, storage space, housing, or whatever. Their main site has links to a form where you can sign up to give, as well as links to info about the Tufts food pantry and other local mutual aid organizations.
So far, three things have worked for me pretty consistently to stave off despair: exercise, human connection (such as it is), and being of service. Help others, help yourself!
