Positions

Postdoctoral Associate

We have an open position for a post-doctoral associate working on the computational mechanisms and plasticity of cross-modal perception. This position offers the opportunity to study how humans perceive the world through the different senses by integrating behavioral, computational, and neuroscientific approaches. The lab actively supports its members in achieving their long-term research and career goals and has strong interdisciplinary collaborations at the local, national, and international level.

The ideal candidate has a background in perception (cross-modal or individual senses), psychophysics, neuroscience, or modeling and will hold a PhD in Cognitive Science, Psychology, Neuroscience, or related fields at the start date. The start date is flexible, and the position is open to both US citizens and foreign nationals. All candidates, especially candidates with identities underrepresented in science, are strongly encouraged to contact Stephanie Badde with their CV and a short description of their background and research interests to discuss potential research projects.

Graduate Students

We accept PhD students either through the interdisciplinary Cognitive Science PhD program or the Experimental Psychology PhD program. Candidates should have a strong interest in perception and action across the different senses as well as in our scientific approach, especially psychophysics, eye-tracking, and computational models.

Interested candidates should have research experience in perception, cognition, or related fields and some coding skills. All candidates, especially candidates with identities underrepresented in science, are encouraged to contact Stephanie Badde by email if they have questions about the lab or the program.

Undergraduate Research Assistants

Students interested in joining the lab as a research assistant can find out more about the requirements and the application process at the department website for undergraduate research positions.
