Hailey Robbins

Hi everyone! My name is Hailey and I am a second year student in the History and Museum Studies program. I am originally from New Hampshire, and graduated from the University of Virginia in 2023 with a B.A. in History and English. While in Charlottesville, I worked as a University Guide and educated visitors on the history of UVA’s UNESCO World Heritage Site campus. I have also been very lucky to work at some incredible historical sites and museums, including St. Giles’ Cathedral in Edinburgh, Scotland, the Gibbes Museum of Art in Charleston, South Carolina, the Wenham Museum on the North Shore, and the USS Albacore Museum in Portsmouth. I am excited to be doing my practicum this summer at Fort Ticonderoga and to delve into all things Rev250! My career goal is to become a curator at a historical museum in New England, as I love all facets of the exhibition planning process.

In my free time, I love to dance, read, visit museums (shocker), and spend time with my family and friends. I am currently on a quest to visit as many museums in New Hampshire as possible, and also make sure to visit a museum just about everywhere I go. If you have any suggestions, let me know! I am always happy to talk art, history, museums, and anything in between.

Ava Beisenstein

Welcome to the blog! It’s so nice to meet you. My name is Ava Beisenstein and I’m a second year MA student in Museum Education. With a degree in archaeology and anthropology from the University of California, San Diego, I have a special interest in archaeology and culture museums. I’m passionate about exhibit design, working to decolonize museums and collections, and supporting cultural revitalization and repatriation efforts with Indigenous communities. My professional experiences include specializing in marine archaeology at the St. Augustine Lighthouse and Maritime Museum, working with local history collections at the Milwaukee County Historical Society, and completing research and fieldwork in Achoma, Peru.

As a Wisconsin native, I love all things cheese, Great Lakes, and Packers (GO PACK GO!). When I’m not wandering museums, you can find me throwing frisbees or learning to cook.
