The Poincaré Institute is a collaborative project that brings together university faculty from multiple departments, non-profit research institutions, and school leaders and teachers from nine public school districts. Funded by the National Science Foundation’s Math Science Partnership program, the Institute aims to develop lasting partnerships that draw upon the unique perspectives and expertise of each partner.
The Poincaré Institute brings together faculty and researchers with expertise in the fields of mathematics, education, and physics. Nine school districts across three states bring a wealth of practicing professionals to the project. A strong group of staff, postdoctoral fellows, and graduate students support the Institute with experience and knowledge in the areas of technology, research, mathematics, and mathematics education.
Our team shares a commitment to improving mathematics education through a focus on the middle and early high school years and unifying mathematical concepts through a deeper understanding of algebra and functions.
