The Teen & Dog Study is exploring the role of pet dogs in supporting adolescents experiencing social anxiety. We are interested in assessing how dogs can support adaptive coping strategies for teenagers, and how having a dog impacts families.

The Teen & Dog study is a multi-year research project that is being conducted by Tufts University in collaboration with researchers from Wellesley College, MaineHealth Institute for Research, and Boston University. We are collecting annual surveys, interviews, and physiological data from teenagers and their families about their relationships with their dogs.
