The purpose of this workshop is establish specific guidelines for digital publications that publish and/or annotate textual sources from the human record. The registration for the workshop will be free but space will be limited. Some support for travel and expenses will be available. We particularly encourage contributions from students and early-career researchers.

Visit the Project Site on Trunk

We have created a project site on Trunk, Tufts’ online collaboration and learning environment. This will enable sharing of work and data in a closed environment but eventual sharing with a larger audience when it comes time to publish work and findings. It also has more features such as a calendar and user forum.

All participants should have access to this site:

https://trunk.tufts.edu/xsl-portal/site/digitalagetext

If you did not receive an email with a password, simply request a new one via this link:

https://trunk.tufts.edu/access/content/public/gateway%20home/passwordreset.html

If this does not work, please contact Lisa to verify your email address.

Discussions are underway now, so please visit the site and join in the introductions.

Instructions on where to go and what to do as the start date approaches will be posted on the Trunk site with additional notifications here.

New Directions Fellowships

We suggest that participants who are faculty members may wish to contact their institution about applying for a New Directions Fellowship from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. Applications are processed through your institution, so the deadline will vary. Consider contacting your grants officer or dean on application submission.

Welcome!

As the start of the institute approaches, we’ll be updating this page with the latest news and information. Participants and speakers should contact the organizers with information on arrival and departure dates before the end of June, preferably by June 27. Updated information will be added to the Participants menu above. Feel free to leave comments and ask questions.
