Electronic Skin
Capturing the human sense of touch with electronics is useful for applications in prosthetics, robotics, and sensory data collection. However, touch is a complicated sense that requires multiple electronic sensors to capture. This project aimed to build a glove with an array of different sensors that collect the most useful parts of the sense of touch. These sensors had to be flexible, while remaining accurate to a degree that would stil be useful for data collection. The final product included 3 different types of sensors (touch, pressure, and temperature) and interfacing hardware and software to display sensor readings.
