Active Learning with Visual Classrooms

April 4 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Would you like to create a more active and collaborative classroom? Are you struggling to deal with AI generated work? Visual Classrooms is here to help. This interactive discussion-and-collaboration platform transforms how learners engage with peers from an isolated experience to an active, collaborative one in which they can work in small teams, ask questions, discuss ideas with peers, and get feedback using any media–drawing, text, video. Promoting group work and capturing responses helps reduce the opportunities to “Chat GPT it.” In this workshop, we will demonstrate how Visual Classrooms can be used to support student-centered face-to-face or hybrid learning in a variety of disciplines. This web-based platform easily integrates with Canvas and was originally created and research-validated at Tufts funded by an NSF grant.
