In this session we’ll bring faculty users up to speed on Piazza’s new interface. The session can also serve as an introduction to the tool. Piazza is a Q&A-style discussion tool which allows instructors to post questions which students can then reply to collaboratively. Instructors and students can post both questions and answers, and all posts are editable. The platform supports the option to generate content as text, rich text, in LaTeX or as code, and also supports images and video. Students collaborate on answers in a wiki-like environment to focus in on a single high-quality answer to any question, over time. Answers can then generate additional follow-up questions and answers, adding clarity and depth to the original prompt.
