Mrs. Akin-Fadeyi is an experienced banker with over 14 years banking experience. Her passion lies in creating sustainable value for clients and organizations through service, product and process innovations. She currently oversees the Financial Inclusion Secretariat, responsible for the implementation of the National Financial Inclusion strategy in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders. Its core mandate is to reduce the percentage of adult Nigerians that are excluded from financial services from 46.3% in 2010 to 20% by 2020. Prior to her current assignment, Temitope was a Management board member and Head of Banking Services of FINCA International; a global microfinance organization. She pioneered the Banking Services Department in Uganda which serves as a model to other subsidiaries. Temitope also worked with two commercial banks in Nigeria, Fidelity Bank PLC and Oceanic Bank PLC (member of the Ecobank Group), where she held various roles in Treasury/Financial institutions and Retail/Consumer banking sectors respectively. Mrs. Akin-Fadeyi holds a Bachelor’s Degree in French from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Nigeria and is an Alumnus of the Harvard Business School Executive Education program on Strategic Leadership in Inclusive Finance.
