Assistant Director – Payment System Operations, Bank of Zambia

Mr Muuka Madubeko is an assistant director responsible for payment systems oversight at the Bank of Zambia. Mr Madubeko has extensive work experience in the regulation of the financial sector, having held various positions at the Bank of Zambia. He represents the Bank of Zambia on regional payment systems oversight committees and is a member of the working group focused on financial inclusion data under the Alliance for Financial Inclusion.

Mr Madubeko has completed executive training in finance, cybersecurity, leadership, regulation of financial services, and financial inclusion. He is a fellow of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants, holds a master’s degree in Business Administration, a Bachelor of Accountancy, and he is a certified digital finance practitioner. In 2018, he graduated as a fellow of the Financial Inclusion Leadership Program of the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University.
