Dastan Peter Massawe

Mr. Dastan Peter Massawe is a Financial Analyst and holds a Master of Science Degree in Finance from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow Scotland. He also holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Actuarial Sciences from a renowned University in Tanzania, University of Dar es Salaam. Dastan Massawe is well known for his academic Excellency. He emerged the best ranked student in the Northern Eastern Zone Examination Syndicate in 2007. In master’s degree, he emerged the best student in Master of Science in Finance with distinction.
Mr. Dastan has worked in various organizations at different capacities. In his position at the Bank of Tanzania as a Financial Analyst to the Directorate of Financial Deepening and Inclusion under the Financial Inclusion Department (Financial Inclusion Operations Division). He also worked under the Directorates of Financial Stability and Financial Sector Supervision. Under the Directorate of Financial Sector Supervision (Department of Macro-prudential Analysis and Crisis Management), Mr. Dastan has been dealing with capital market development, capital flows, forex remittances analysis, portfolio flows, insurance risks and publication of Annual Financial Stability Reports. Mr. Dastan has also worked with the Social Security Regulatory Authority (SSRA) as a Core Business Applications (CBA) Project Team Officer – Research, Actuarial and Policy from January to November 2014.
