Germán San Lorenzo

Deputy Manager, Financial Innovation, Central Bank of Argentina

Germán has a degree in economics from the Universidad de Buenos Aires and a master’s in finance from the Universidad Torcato Di Tella (UTDT). He joined the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic (BCRA) in 2005 and has held several positions in the foreign exchange regulatory area, from assistant to deputy manager. Currently, he is the Deputy Manager of the Financial Innovation Department, where he actively participates in the financial innovation and financial inclusion agenda. Germán has the duty of building financial inclusion indicators and writing reports on financial inclusion and conducting research regarding local and international innovations carried out by banks and fintech companies in different fields. Germán has also taught Foreign Trade and International Payments at the Universidad Católica Argentina (UCA) for 8 years.
